Evelyn Zumaya Has Typo In Her Own Name In her New Book "RV Case Files"

On page 275 of The Rudolph Valentino Case Files Evelyn Zumaya critiqued the book Valentino A Dream Of Desire by author David Bret.

.."a dizzying array of typos which could have been avoided with minimal editing"

In reading her book that sentence Zumaya wrote jumped out at me.  Let's flip the mirror around and see how her book The Rudolph Valentino Case Files stacks up to that type of scrutiny she levied against Bret's book.

In her own name a typo was found!

The Rudolph Valentino Case Files page 251 footnote #6

You only had to go to page #2 to find the first typo.  On page 2 Evelyn Zumaya lists the arrival of Federico Rizza to America.
Page 2 date of arrival is listed as June 1, 1916
Page 3 lists the date of arrival in footnote #3 as June 1, 1915

On Page 48 shows photo of Bobby Ullman and said he appeared
in the motion picture "Lummox" in 1935.  Another typo........  It was actually 1930

On Page 104 Zumaya stated the niche
Valentino was buried in was sold to the family in 1936
Another typo....... it was actually 1933

On Page 70 Evelyn Zumaya reproduces a hand written letter from
Valentino author Norman Mackenzie to George Ullman.
On page 70 he writes  "....the present edition....."
On page 71 Zumaya typed the letter for easier reading; the above quote became
                                      "... the present editor......"

Page 135 and Page 136 shows Evelyn Zumaya mistake Hustler porn publisher Larry Flint as Valentino Guild Founder Leslie Flint.   Both pages 135 and 136 list the porn king's name instead of Leslie Flint's.

On Page 212  Evelyn Zumaya shows a pair of photos of Rudolph Valentino with a raincoat on, stating they were taken at the school of agriculture in Italy.   Actually they were taken in the USA, New Jersey to be exact.

And my last example of turning the mirror around is on page 329 when Zumaya is handing out "thank yous" on her acknowledgment page

Page 329 Typo:  'Thank you' becomes 'Tank-you'

So, I repeat the quote Evelyn Zumaya levied against another Valentino author.

".....a dizzying array of typos which could have been avoided with minimal editing"

This is why I give The Rudolph Valentino Case Files a 'thumbs down'.  In my opinion it is poorly edited, filled with typos and errors.
